Terms and Conditions: Short Message Service (SMS)/Text Messaging
The Early Steps Study may communicate with participants via text/SMS or email.
Consent for SMS/Text Communication
Participants will be able to select email or SMS/text message as their preferred communication method with the Early Steps study. If a participant indicates a preference for SMS/text message, they will receive messages with scheduling information, survey links, reminders to complete surveys, and acknowledgement when a survey is complete. By selecting SMS communications, participants agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If a participant does not agree with these terms, please do not select SMS/text as the preferred communication method.
By providing consent to receive SMS communications, participants acknowledge and agree to receive text messages at the phone number they provided. Information obtained as part of the SMS consent process will not be shared with third parties. Participants can cancel the SMS service at any time by contacting study staff at esteps@ori.org or calling/texting 541-434-1532.
